The most prolific and most consistently published English magic author, Val Andrews has written on a large variety of subjects, all thoroughly researched.
His first-hand knowledge as a performer and writer developed from his appreciation of and contact with great magicians of the past and present. This is the story of his life: his dreams, loves and disappointments. He sprinkles it liberally with anecdotes about the early years, presenting a clear view of magical entertainment in the 1930s and '40s.
Also included are eleven of his favorite routines and there are two pages of professional hints and tips.
